It’s getting closer – the profile-raising team are now in the final stages of preparing to launch their campaign. About the campaignThe first focus of the campaign is on loneliness in the community. “We want to recognise that loneliness is something many people in our community experience. But we’ll also send the message that it doesn’t have to be this way,” explains Sarah Urmston, Communications Project Officer.
“The Uniting Church, through its church, agencies and schools, has a wealth of experience and knowledge which can not only help people who are feeling alone but also equip our community to help those people they know who are experiencing loneliness.” “Through recognising these feelings, this campaign is fantastic opportunity for us to highlight all that the Uniting Church offers to the community.” Amidst the media advertising on radio, in newspapers and outdoor advertising, people will be directed to a website – unitingpeople.org.au. The website will have fact sheets, articles, events and more. How can you help?Getting information for the website isn't as easy as you might think - we need your help. Things we would like to include are a list of Christmas services, Feeling Blue services and church fellowship/friendship groups people can join. There's no database of information for this - so this is where we need you to contact us. In summary: We’d like to include a list of Christmas services which people can attend. So please email those, if you haven’t already done so, to
